Our operating hours vary throughout the year and may change on public holidays. Here’s everything you need to know to plan your visit to URBNSURF.

What are our operating hours?

Both Melbourne and Sydney parks operate on seasonal hours, meaning operating hours shift depending on the season and demand:

  • Peak Season (Summer): November – March
    Longest operating hours
  • Shoulder Season (Autumn & Spring): April – May / September – October
    Normal operating hours
  • Winter Season: June – August
    Shorter operating days and hours are dependent on demand

Are you open on public holidays?

Both parks are open on most public holidays, but hours can vary slightly from park to park depending on the day and state.

Park Closure

  • Christmas Day (25 December): URBNSURF Melbourne and URBNSURF Sydney Closed.
  • Good Friday: URBNSURF Melbourne Closed.

Public Holiday Variations

  • New Year’s Day (1 January): First waves scheduled mid-morning.
  • Australia Day: Normal seasonal operating hours.
  • Easter Long Weekend:
    • Good Friday: URBNSURF Melbourne closed | URBNSURF Sydney open.
    • Easter Saturday, Sunday & Monday: Operating hours may vary.
  • ANZAC Day (25 April): First waves scheduled mid-afternoon.
  • King’s Birthday (8 June): Normal seasonal operating hours.
  • Labour Day (VIC: 2nd Monday in March/NSW: 1st Monday in October): Normal seasonal operating hours per park (Different dates per state).
  • Christmas Eve (24 December): Last waves scheduled early evening.
  • Boxing Day (26 December): First waves scheduled mid-morning.
  • New Year’s Eve (31 December): Last waves scheduled early evening.
